Farm Tour weekend is here.

Spring Farm Tour is the big thing this weekend, but it is not the only thing worth planning around. Saturday also has Lovettsville Mayfest, Purcellville Public Safety Day, Lucketts Spring Market, and a French dinner at Shiloh Manor Farm. Sunday is easier: pick another farm route, hear jazz in Leesburg, look at cars over coffee, or make Field and Flame your dinner plan.

№ 01
Saturday-Sunday

Loudoun Spring Farm Tour

Official details

This is the big one for the weekend. More than 40 farm stops are open across the county, with animals, dairy, honey, mushrooms, vegetables, garlic, flowers, and craft beverages. It is easy to overplan, so choose a route around farms you actually want to visit.

Free to participate, rain or shine. Some stops charge for food, drinks, or special activities. Pick a route before you leave.

№ 02
Friday-Sunday

Lucketts Spring Market

Official details

If you like vintage furniture, garden pieces, textiles, clothing, and home finds, this is the shopping trip to consider. The Lucketts Store brings more than 200 vendors to the Clarke County Fairgrounds, with food trucks, live bands, Vanish beer, and Walsh Family wine.

This is outside Loudoun County, about 25 miles west of Leesburg. General admission is listed at $20 per day; kids under 12 are free. No dogs.

№ 03
Saturday

Lovettsville Mayfest

Official details

A good old-fashioned town festival. It is compact, walkable, and built around the town green, with local vendors, food, music, classic picnic games, cornhole, relays, tug-of-war, an obstacle course, and the pie-eating contest.

Good backup if the Farm Tour map feels like too much planning.

№ 04
Saturday

Pedal Purcellville and Public Safety Day

Official details

The easiest pick for families with younger kids. The day combines a family bike ride, bike decorating contest, bike safety rodeo, helmet fittings, first responder meet-and-greets, apparatus displays, demonstrations, paint-the-police-cruiser, a scavenger hunt, treats, and lunch for purchase.

Free to attend. The Pedal Purcellville ride and decorating contest require advance registration.

№ 05
Sunday

Field and Flame

Official details

A Sunday dinner for people who really care about local food. Root to Table brings chefs, farmers, awards, local drinks, dinner, and an auction together at Riverside on the Potomac.

Ticketed fundraiser. Plan it like a full evening, not a casual stop.

Five more worth knowing

01

Springtime in Provence at Shiloh Manor Farm

Saturday

A date-night dinner with a five-course Provencal menu from Magnolias at the Mill, imported wine pairings, a restored-barn setting, and live French bistro music from Djangolaya.

02

Vermouth 101 at Mt. Defiance

Sunday

This is more specific than a standard tasting flight. Mt. Defiance is pairing its vermouth with five other Virginia vermouths and bringing in Bridgette Smith from Williams Gap Vineyard to help lead the class.

03

Loudoun Jazz Jam

Sunday

An easy Sunday music plan. The Loudoun Jazz Society brings a professional house rhythm section, musicians can sit in, and listeners can just show up, grab food nearby, and let the afternoon move at its own pace.

04

Tally Ho weekend

Friday-Saturday

The indoor music choice. Friday is Girlfriend In A Coma, a Morrissey and The Smiths tribute, with Electric Love playing music of The Cult. Saturday is Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band if you want a bluesier night downtown.

05

Morven Park Summer Show Series I

Saturday-Sunday

A quieter option if you want to watch horses between bigger events. Morven Park lists the first Summer Show Series weekend across Saturday and Sunday.

Three ways to plan it

01

If you want a classic Loudoun weekend

Spend Saturday on the Spring Farm Tour, then stop at Lovettsville Mayfest if you want one more public event. On Sunday, try a different Farm Tour area or go to Field and Flame if you want a full local-food dinner.

02

If you have younger kids

Start with Pedal Purcellville/Public Safety Day, especially if trucks, bikes, and first responders will carry the morning. Lovettsville Mayfest works for the afternoon; the Farm Tour works if you choose only two or three family-friendly stops.

03

If you want dinner and drinks

Go to Lucketts Spring Market Friday or Saturday, book Springtime in Provence for Saturday night, then choose either Mt. Defiance Vermouth 101 or Field and Flame on Sunday.
